Wolf E. Rahlfs, member of STAGECRAFT ENTERTAINMENT and actor/director with "Die Badische Landesbühne" plays the urban hermit on a quest for normality in this one-man play by Eric Bogosian.

Originally produced by NIGFIKA in Liverpool 2001, this production was awarded by the Royal Shakespeare Company and has visited quite a number of venues in the UK and Germany. It has also been invited both to european theatre festivals and to New York.

Recently, the production was taken to the Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival of Korea, where Wolf E. Rahlfs was awarded with the Best Actor Award.

2001 - 2005
BACKGROUND:   This production has been directed by Jörn-Udo Kortman. The set design is by Franziska Smolarek. The soundtrack for this show was created solely for this show by the spanish musician and producer Paolo Greco.

The author Eric Bogosian is well known for the plays "subUrbia" and "Talk Radio", both being translated into movies. Speaking of movies, he has appeared in a couple of them, like Woody Allen's "Deconstructing Harry" or Steven Seagal's "Under Siege 2". Eric Bogosian even has a small Frank Zappa connection: Together they created the piece "Blood on the Canvas" in 1986, never officially released except for 10.000 tape copies for the opening of Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles.
PRESS:   "Sad, funny and shocking." (Hamburger Abendblatt)

"I think if I tell you how good it really is, you won’t believe me. Rahlfs is scary, but attractively so."
(Jake Horsley, author of “How to survive in the Matrix without really trying”)

"I was fucking terrified."
(Rachel Barnett, Noises Off)

"Wolf E. Rahlfs’ solo performance gives an impressive account of a mind trapped in its own growing insanity."
(Sunday Times, Robert Hewison )

"Classic Russian literature for the supermarket generations. See Rahlfs before you can’t afford to."
(FEST)

"Dive to the bottom of the soul. Wolf E. Rahlfs is grandiose as the New York recluse."
(BNN)
